Correct! Art Deco borrows from a number of decorative styles that preceded it, and also incorporates ideas from the newly emerging modern art movements. During the twenties the colors are strong and varied (as in this example) but in the thirties, softer colors and metallic chrome and silver combine with the "streamlined" curves that became fashionable.
